I had the honor of photographing Elinor's older cousin a couple of years ago. When her mom reached out to schedule her session and told me she was the sister of a past client, I immediately knew who she was talking about and I was instantly excited! It means so much to me when clients send their family and friends to me to capture what they know to be such an important, once-in-a-lifetime moment. Babies don't keep them - so we need to keep them in our portraits.
Elli's mom wanted pinks, creams, and a boho theme for her session and I lit up! Boho is my heart right now and speaks to my soul. It's such a clean, pure theme - I knew it would be so fun!
In keeping with her colors and boho textures, I also thought this beautiful moon background would be perfect as well!
We also did some of our standard baby posing and Elli did amazing!
This next image is one that I do for a lot of my babies, but it is also one that Elli's older cousin had in her gallery so we definitely had to incorporate it into Elli's gallery as well!
For one of her prop portraits, I chose a bucket, and from the looks of her smile, I'd say she loved it! Her mom also brought in a beautiful, pink seersucker sash that was monogrammed with Elli's initials and I was happy to incorporate that into her session as well!
Before we moved into the parent portraits, Elli decided she was going to stay awake for a little while and check things out!
We wrapped up the session with our usual parent portraits and they went on to enjoy the rest of their day!
...I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that misses my tiny clients & their parents when they leave.
