Megan reached out to me one afternoon on the phone to chat about a newborn session. She expressed that she was too late for a maternity session as she was already 37-weeks pregnant. I quickly asked her if she wanted to have a maternity session and she did! I raked through my schedule and I made it happen for her that same week!
...Even better?! The weather and the skies for us that evening were absolutely amazing - they were magical! It was a super windy day and the tide was up SO high, but it made for some really fun shots like this one sitting on the driftwood where the waves were crashing below her feet.
I always love it when Mother Nature delivers some stunning, cotton-candy skies right after she delivers an amazing sunset.
...Have I mentioned how amazing the skies and weather were this night?! Whenever I look at the images from Megan's session, I am instantly brought back to that night and all of its glory.
Her older daughter also had so much fun frolicking and playing during the session as well and even snuck in some seriously sweet baby-belly smooches for her little sister!
Beach sessions in the summer are my absolute favorite. There's just nothing like the beach in general with the therapeutic salty air and the feelings you get being there, but throw in creating beautiful art while you're there and it's even more perfect!
Megan went into labor not too long after our session and had another beautiful baby girl!! Here's a sneak peek at baby Iris and I cannot wait to share her session on the blog!
